A fabulously rare medieval openwork bronze belt mount showing the lion of St. Mark.

This item which dates to circa 14th -15 th century AD, is in excellent allover condition.

It would have adorned a large waist belt of a knight or man at arms and as such is incredibly rare.

Size 3.2 x 3.5 CM.

Found Kirk Langley Derbyshire mid 1970s.
