A very rare and seldom seen Viking horse harness bronze cheek piece.
This item which dates to circa 10th -11th century AD, is in excellent allover condition.
It would have been mounted on the leather horse harness straps either side of the horses cheeks to allow other straps to be connected and of course as decoration.
Size 8.0 CM in Length.
North Yorkshire excavations in 1972.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
