Description
A fabulous roman decorated bronze aceica style cloak brooch.
This item which dates to circa mid 1st century AD, and the time of the roman invasion of England is in fabulous condition.
It has much decoration to both the head and foot plate as can be seen and would have been worn by a person of wealth and standing and likely of military origin.
The original fastening pin to the rear was lost in antiquity and likely how it was lost in the roman period.
A very rare type to find and would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
Size 3.8 CM in Length.
Lincolnshire excavations in 1974.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
