A very rare anglo saxon small bronze and cloisonne enamel cloak brooch.
This item which dates to circa 10th-to early 11th century AD.
The base dark blue enamel is complete, but has some small losses on the small side lugs as seen.
The reverse of this brooch still retains much of its original gilding , however the original iron fastening pin has long since perished in antiquity.
A rare item that would have belonged to a person of wealth and standing in that community.
Size 2.3 CM in Dia.
Norfolk excavations in 1969.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
