Description
A very good quality roman bronze and enamel cloak brooch .
This item, often refered to as a headstud type brooch , dates to circa 1st -2nd century AD. It has much of its original blue and red enamel inlay remaining and it's chain loop is still present.
It's fastening pin has been lost in antiquity, however this is all part of its history and likely how it was lost in the roman period.
A very nice chunky brooch.
Size .5.5 CM in Length.
Norfolk excavations in the late 1970s.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
