A very pleasing small Russian hand painted Ikon on wood.
This item which dates to the late 17th -early 18th century shows the depiction of the holy trinity.
It shows the usual wear of its age but as can be seen it shows the three standing figures side by side with a small section of prayer still visible...
This depiction is presented on a wooden oak panel which would have once been part of an altar screen. Lots of age related character to this piece as can be seen ..
