Description
An absolutely stunning quality example of an ancient chinese, late Ming dynasty terracotta horse and groom figure. This item which dates to circa 1550 1650 AD, is free from restoration and repair.
The horse and groom are shown in their typical livery of the period, with the horse having the two large buckets or containers present, which would have been used to carry food or drink.
As can be seen a large amount of the original colour pigment and glase is still present and as such that makes this a very desirable figure.
Rare to find.
Size 16.0 CM in Height.
Ex. Private collection from the early 1970s.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
