A rare to find Stuart period tigerglaze bellarmine jar.
This item which dates to circa 1660-1700 AD,is in wonderful allover condition.
The term Tigerglaze is in effect coined from the salt thrown in the kiln when the firing process is nearly complete...This type of jar is called a Saltglaze jar ,however when they come out of the kiln with this decoration they are refered to as Tigerglaze.
Size 22.0 CM in Height.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
