A very good quality Stuart period stones are Juglet. This item which dates to circa late 16th -17th century AD, is in excellent allover condition. With a slightly mis shaped funnel and off set handle this is of typical German raeren stoneware form. A little ware to the glase in two places but this is due to how it was used and handled in its day.
A fabulous drinking Juglet from the time of the English civil war, when the forces of King Charles 1st fought against those of Oliver Cromwell. Possibly a small chip to the rim which has been restored to museum standard. Size ..15.0 CM in Height. EX. Private collection formed in the 1970s. As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.
