A fabulous quality roman solid silver ring with the TOT inscription.
This item which dates to circa 3rd century AD, is in excellent allover condition.
The bezal is decorated with the TOT inscription which is dedicated to the Romano/ Celtic god Totates, who was linked to the gods mars and mercury.
On the shoulders of this ring although a little warn look to be possible profiles of male heads.
A rare to find and a sought after ring likely with roman military connections.
