A very rare to find Roman Military Bronze And Iron Surgeons Scalpel.
This item which dates to circa 1st -2nd century AD, is in excellent allover condition.
It comprises of a plain bronze handle with a bulbous terminal and a fully conserved iron blade.
Used by Roman Military surgeons in the field to remove arrow / spear heads from soldiers when on active service.
Rare to find .
Size 14.5 CM in Length.
