A Bronze Age Socket And Loop Axe Head.

A very high quality bronze age socket and loop decorated axe head.

This item which dates to circa 900 -600 BC, is in wonderful allover condition. 

It still retains its original loop which would have secured the axe head to a wooden shaft via a leather thong.

With a lovely green patination to the bronze which has evolved over nearly three thousand years.

Size 10.0 CM in Length.

From an Old Norfolk collection 1976.
