A very good quality roman ladies bronze and enamel umbanate style cloak brooch.
This item which dates to circa 2nd century AD, is of a rare Umbanate form.
It retains nearly all of its original enamel inlay as shown and has a deep patination to the bronze.
The fastening pin to the reverse has been lost in antiquity and likely how it was mislaid in the roman period.
Size 3.0 CM in Dia.
Nottinghamshire excavations in 1977.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
