Georgian, early George III, pair of silver salts raised on three hoof feet. Free of any inscriptions or later chasing. Fitted with replacement blue glass liners.
In excellent order with surface wear commensurate with age. Some signs of the legs pushing through into the bowls, as is common with salts. No damage to the glass liners.
Each is hallmarked London 1764 by IS & AN. Listed as "unidentified" by Grimwade under Unregistered Marks. It may have been recorded in the missing 1739-1758 Smallworkers' Register or the 1758-1773 Largeworkers' Register.
Approximate silver weight for the pair is 107 grams or 3.4 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one are 6.7 cm diameter and 4 cm height.
