An Early 20th Century Burmese Shan States White Metal Lime Box of Demi Lune Form. Almost certainly made from a low grade silver (unmarked), with Burmese script to the underside. The front side with panels of chased foliage and scrolls. The cover with beaded detail.
The Shan States area covers Eastern Burma and these boxes held powdered lime.
In very good condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents, creases and repair.
