A massively rare, roman ladies bronze cloak brooch, depicting an eagle with a hare between
it's talons.
This item which dates to circa 2nd century AD, is in wonderful condition..
With a great patination to the bronze ,this style of brooch is seldom seen outside of important
Collections.
The original fastening pin has been lost in antiquity as is usual, and likely how this item was lost in the roman period.
Size 3.0 CM in Length.
EX. North Yorkshire find and collection 1970s.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
