A truly fabulous ancient Greek, terracotta votive female face mask.
This item which was worn when making offerings to the gods, takes the form of a goddess / young women..
It dates to circa 100 BC -100 AD, and is in wonderful condition as can be seen.
It comes complete with its own purpose made display stand as shown and would make an ideal centre piece for any collection.
Used in religious ceremonies of the period this piece is a rare survivor of the time.
