A very rare and seldom seen Roman large Amphora style cloak brooch..
This item which dates to early 2nd century AD, is in wonderful all over condition and complete with its original fastening pin.
There are some traces of the original enamel inlay still present to the body of the brooch ..
A rare type which likely has connection to the god Bacchus the god of wine.
Ex. Northumberland collection 1978.
Size 4.3 CM in Length.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
