A very rare and seldom seen small bronze age votive axe head.
This item which dates to circa 1400 BC, is in excellent allover condition.
This small axe head was used as an offering to the gods and would have been deposited on a sacred area, usually to ask for favour with the crops or harvest.
In lovely overall condition with a superb dark green patination to the bronze.
Size 4.5 CM in Length.
Norfolk Excavations in 1969.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
