A very high quality bronze age mace head.
This item which dates to circa 2,400 -2,200 BC , is in excellent allover condition.
With a tubular body but heavy in weight this item was used as a club type weapon in combat and called a mace.
It would have been mounted on a wooden shaft with some length and likely used by mounted cavalry.
Now mounted on its own wooden display stand these item are seldom seen outside of important collections.
