Henkel and Grosse' are a very high-quality costume jewellery maker that started business in Pforzheim Germany in 1907. They began making pieces for Christian Dior in 1955. This company also made jewellery for many different fashion houses, including Schiaparelli and Lanvin. The most notable partnership began in 1955 with Christian Dior, which lasted exclusively for 50 years. Many Dior pieces by Henkel & Grossé from the 1950s through the 1970s have dates incorporated into the signature. The company often used a similar mark on their jewellery pieces during this period.
The Grossé family operated the firm until 2006. The company became part of the Dior group at that time.
