A lovely example of a Victorian silver snuff box that has two compartments, one for the snuff and the other for matches with a striker set into the lid. The box is super quality with separate hinged lid and was made by George Unite in Birmingham in 1857. It is of rectangular form engine turned decoration on both sides. The front has an initialled cartouche. Measuring 42mm x 25mm x 9mm. Weight 23.3g.
