Victorian silver Kings pattern dessert knives & forks for twelve persons. This cutlery set comprises of twelve knives and twelve forks. Housed in a later fitted wooden case with a burgundy satin interior. The handles, knife blades and fork stems/tines are all hallmarked silver.
Condition is excellent with surface wear commensurate with age. The handles will show light pressure marks, but nothing that warrants any attaention. Light wear to the knife blades and very light wear to the fork tines. The fitted case is in excellent order and will protect and display this set.
Each knife blade and fork stem are hallmarked for Sheffield 1863 by Aaron Hadfield (sometimes shown as Hatfield). The handles are all hallmarked for Sheffield silver by Aaron Hadfield. There is no date letter on the handles. The hallmarks for these are on the collar. The collar and handle are one piece of silver and not separate.
