This exquisite stick pin features a beautifully detailed "Man in the Moon" face nestled within a crescent moon. The pin is executed using the traditional "parcel-gilt" technique, creating a stunning visual contrast. The stylized, expressive face is crisp silver, while the surrounding crescent moon is finished in a warm, glowing gold gilt. The reverse of the pin is cleanly stamped with the British Registered Design Number: REGD 36333. This specific copyright number officially dates the design registration to mid-1885 with the British Patent Office.
