Victorian Cased Set of Twelve Silver Plated Ice Cream Shovels. Martin Hall & Co. of Sheffield. circa 1870 - 1890. Features gilded bowls and double struck stems with the terminal having the gothic letter k inside a wreath enclosed cartouche. House in its original fitted case retailed by George Edward & Sons of Glasgow and London.
Each shovel features the makers mark of Martin Hall & Co.
The shovels are in excellent order with very light surface wear. The case is quite worn and coming apart at the rear and one side.
Approximate dimensions of each shovel are 12.5 cm length and 2.6 cm width.
Approximate total cased weight is 540 grams.
