This charming Victorian gypsy solitaire ring is crafted in 15ct gold, featuring an old mine cut diamond at its centre. The diamond is nestled within a floral-style claw setting, where the gold has been sculpted into curvilinear claws with around the stone, creating a distinctive and elegant appearance typical of late Victorian jewellery. The old mine cut diamond displays a gentle, lively sparkle, full of antique character and charm. Due to the age of this piece, there are some tiny nibbles and scratches on the diamond and tarnishing on the shank.
The smooth tapered band gives the ring a comfortable and durable design, while retaining a refined and decorative aesthetic. Solidly crafted in 15ct gold (stamped on the inner shank), this piece beautifully combines practicality with period craftsmanship, making it a timeless antique signet ring suitable for everyday wear or as a unique alternative engagement ring.
