This vintage ladies' Tudor Royal watch exudes timeless charm with a 9ct gold case hallmarked in Edinburgh in 1966. Powered by Tudor’s classic 17-jewel movement, this piece exemplifies quality craftsmanship, reliability, and precision. Tudor, founded by Hans Wilsdorf, shares a prestigious legacy with Rolex, known for their shared commitment to excellence and durability. This refined watch, blending Tudor’s unique style with Rolex's heritage of quality, is ideal for the discerning collector or anyone seeking a piece of horological history with undeniable elegance. "Tudor Royal," is a specific collection within Tudor, characterised by its refined and elegant design that is aimed more at a dress watch style rather than the utilitarian, sporty look found in other Tudor models. Note: 'ROLEX' engraved inside the back of the watch guaranteeing its pedigree.
Movement: Manual Model : Royal Jewels: 17 Year: 1966 Case Size: 21mm (including crown) Case Material: 9ct Gold Strap: New Strap Other: Comes in a vintage box
Condition: The dial is simply signed with ‘Tudor’ at the very top below 12 and ‘Swiss’ at the very bottom, below 6. As this dial is in original, unrestored condition, this has been left untouched due to its superb condition. The sturdy 9ct solid gold case measures just 21mm in diameter, including the crown. This makes this quite a small watch. However, the case is very robust meaning the watch, while ‘ladies cocktail watch size’, is still suitable for everyday use. Inside the case-back, all the markings are correct and as we would expect is signed ‘Rolex’, along with 9ct hallmarks which date this watch to 1966. There are some very small scratches to the glass that can only be seen under a magnifying glass.
