Description
This is a complete set of 48 volumes of The Waverley Novels by Sir Walter Scott.
All volumes are uniformly bound in green Morocco half leather. Each has 4 raised bands to the spine which have gilt decoration with plain panels between. The title and volume number are also in gilt.
Each volume has red marbled boards, end papers and edges. There are tissue guards between the engraved title page and the frontispiece, which is followed by a text title page.
There is minor foxing to some preliminary pages otherwise internally clean. Good joints and hinges, tight solid binding.
Shelf scuffs/wear to head and tail of spines, corners and edges of boards. See photos.
Still an attractive and scarce complete set.
The combined weight makes postage impractical. This set would require collection in person.
