A superb quality Silver table snuff box which could equally be used for trinkets etc. The box is decorated with the most exquisite engine turning decoration on all planes. It was hallmarked in London in 1877 and was made by Wright & Davies (William Thomas Wright & Frederick Davies) of Oxford Street and retailed by top retailers P and F Schafer of 27, Piccadilly, London. The lid is stamped on th e inside with P & F Schafer, 27, Piccadilly. The silver of the whole box inside and out has been gold plated. It is made in a good robust gauge silver. It carries a cypher in script to the front.
