Silver and Enamel Compact and Lipstick Holder with Mirror Lid with pop up Action

Silver and enamel compact with mirror and lipstick holder. The front of the compact depicts a pastoral romantic scene with two young women reading and playing musical instruments with their small dog at their feet.
The back and the sides of the compact are beautifully hand engraved.
It opens by squeezing the front of the compact near the lipstick holder and the top flips open revealing the lipstick holder, mirror and powder compartment.
It weighs 100 g
Measures 7.5 by 7.5 by 2 cms
It carries both Italian and UK sterling silver hallmarks and was imported into Birmingham in1987.
