This is an original René Lalique “Oursins” plate, moulded in clear/opalescent glass, dating to c1935. The model number is #3041. “Oursins” is the French for “Sea urchins”.
"R.Lalique France" is etched into the base of the plate.
The plate measures approximately 27.7cm wide and stands 2.3cm high.
The plate is in good original condition, even down to there being no chips to the very vulnerable mouldings on which it stands on the base being noted. There are a few light scratches to the inside and edges of the plate, which are to be expected for a piece of this age and by the nature of its usage.
There is no original packaging.
