An outstanding late Georgian Old Sheffield Plate tea set, circa 1820 - 1830. Of flattened, circular form with heavily cast foliate scroll feet. Features capped scroll and reeded handles. The teapot with a flower finial, the sugar and cream jug with gilded interiors. Each piece features a rubbed in silver circle and the initial W.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age.
Each piece features the orb and cross mark for Blagden Hodgson & Co. of Sheffield, to the underside. The mark on the cream jug is rubbed, but still readable as Blagden, Hodgson & Co.
Approximate weight for all three pieces is 1.7 kilos.

Teapot: 29 cm length, 16.5 cm depth and 14.5 cm height.
Sugar: 20.5 cm length, 14.5 cm depth and 11.5 cm height.
Cream: 12.5 cm length, 8.5 cm depth and 13.5 cm height.
