'Napoleon, Emperor of the French, King of Italy', Laurel Wreath Portrait Profile Medallion in Glazed Roundel. After Galle. The medallion with convex glass cover in a gilt metal roundel frame, with suspension loop. The medallion dates to the early 19th century, following the 1805 Coronation of Napoleon in Milan.
Approximate framed dimensions are 8.8 cm diameter and 1.2 cm depth.
Approximate weight is 82 grams.
In fair to good condition with some loss of gilding to the frame. The convex glass moves slightly if the roundel is tilted, but this does not show when hung, or laid out in a display case. No damage to the gilt metal medallion. Loose paper backing to the reverse.
