Maria-Claude Lalique (René's granddaughter) designed a series of three clear crystal sculptures featuring a lion family c1990. The set comprised of “Bamara” the lion, the “Tambwee lion cubs” and this piece “Simba” the lioness. The three pieces were later released in black and amber.
Simba measures 245mm (9.65”) long and sits 140mm (5.5”) high. She weighs 2.5Kg. All measurements are approximate.
"Lalique ® France" is engraved on the base.
The sculpture is in very good condition with no faults noted. It does not have a box.
Please see photos as these form an important part of the description.
