Admiral of the Fleet John Rushworth Jellicoe, 1st Earl Jellicoe (1859 - 1935), commanded the Grand Fleet at the Battle of Jutland in 1916. HMS Iron Duke was a Dreadnought Battleship and was commissioned into the Home Fleet in 1914 as the Fleet Flagship. She served as the Flagship of the Grand Fleet during the Battle of Jutland where she inflicted major damage on the German battleship SMS Konig. She was broken up in 1948, after suffering heavy damage at Scapa Flow during World War Two.
