Georgian Old Sheffield Plate tea urn, circa 1810 - 1830. Features a domed pull off cover with foliate embossed knop. Gadrooned borders to the urn and ornate cast foliate twin handles. Raised upon four leaf scrolled feet. Rolled over silver edges to the cover and urn borders.
The urn is in excellent condition with light surface wear and the occasional scuff or scratch. Copper bleed is minimal. The urn is in working order and does not leak. The spout is slightly off centre with an inclination to the right. There are traces of a solder repair where the tap joins the urn. It looks like an old repair and you need to put your head down and look up to actually see it. Slight crease on the base just above the front right foot.
Approximate weight is around 5.8 kilos.
Approximate dimensions are 38 cm height, 30 cm handle to handle length and 32 cm depth to the end of the spout.
