Georgian, George IV, Old Sheffield Plate Coffee Pot, circa 1820. Of squat baluster form with a gadrooned rim and a domed cover with fluted finial and composition handle. The body is entirely plain with no inscriptions or chasing. One side features a rubbed in silver circle to allow a crest or monogram. Raised on a circular foot. The coffee pot does have an inner rim, so could be used as a biggin.
In very good condition with wear around the gadrooned rim near the handle. Small areas of copper bleed and moderate surface wear to the body. The item has not been replated and is in original condition with its silver sheet intact.
