Georgian, George III, Silver Hot Water Jug. Of plain baluster form with a leather capped handle.
Hallmarked to the underside of the jug for London 1767 by Francis Crump. Further part hallmarked to the cover rim.
In excellent, original, condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. There is no sign of any erasure having taken place. The underside of the base has a small split. This is not visible on the interior of the jug and it does not leak. It is possible that the base is double skinned.
Approximate weight is 381 grams or 12.2 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 18.5 cm height and 13 cm handle to spout length.
