Georgian, George III, silver cruet stand with later silver mounted bottles. All of the cut glass bottle are of a similar Georgian design with reeded bands. There is one mustard, one cayenne pepper, one pepper caster and one oil/vinegar bottle. The cayenne pepper bottle has a Georgian cayenne ticket on a chain.
In excellent condition with surface wear commensurate with age. No dents or splits to the silver. One glass bottle has had a repair to the base. One other glass bottle is slightly cloudy in the lower half. The stoppers are not stuck. The silver mount on the pepper is a loose fit.
The base is hallmarked silver with the duty head of King George III and the London crowned Leopard head, dating it to between 1784 and 1821. The maker's mark is partially obscured but the first letter is probably I. No date letter is visible.
The mustard is hallmarked for Birmingham1876 by John Clemmens.
The pepper is hallmarked for London 1875 by Henry Holland.
The cayenne ticket is not hallmarked as silver, but has a maker's mark of John Reily and would date this around 1823 to 1825.
