Georgian, George III, Silver Coffee Biggin. Part reeded body and cover with a gadrooned border. The biggin is raised on four ball feet and the finial is of oval form with a gadrooned edge. Free of any inscriptions or later chased decoration. When the cover is open a rim can be seen inside the main body. A mesh suspended from a metal or wire rim would sit on this rim and filter the coffee.

Hallmarked to the underside for London 1810 by William Bennett. Further part hallmarked to the inside of the cover.

In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents, creases and splits.

Approximate weight is 812 grams or 26.1 troy ounces.

Approximate dimensions are 23 cm length, 20.5 cm height and 11 cm depth.
