Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Side Handled Coffee Pot, circa 1770. Of baluster form with a skirted base and turned fruitwood handle. A good, early example in original condition.
In fair to good condition with high surface wear and small areas of light copper bleed. The top rim is a little misshapen and so the pull off cover does not sit fully flush. High wear to the underside of the base with some losses to the rolled over silver edges. The body is free of dents and there do not appear to be any solder repairs. The pot is watertight.
Approximate weight is 585 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 23 cm height and 29 cm length.
