Georgian, George II, Silver Coffee Pot. Features a bell shaped finial on a foliate chased domed cover. Composition double scroll handle. The body chased with c scrolls and foliage. Two vacant shaped reserves. Raised on a circular foot.
In excellent order with no dents, creases or splits. A little bumpy to one reserve, probably after an erasure, but not thin.
Hallmarked for London 1739 by Edward Vincent. The hallmarks are rubbed, but please see the photos. The makers mark appears to the underside of the base (double struck) and to the inside of the cover. The lion passant appears on the body and the inside of the cover. The partially obscured date letter and town mark appear on the body.
Approximate weight is 819 grams or 26.3 troy ounces.
