Georgian, George I, silver twin handled cup and cover of plain form. The domed cover with a knop finial. The handles are leaf capped and the body features a reeded girdle. The cover features a crest of two outstretched arms holding a wreath, whilst the body features a small area of scroll decoration, resembling a coat of arms. The cup stands on a spreading circular foot. There is a small inscription to the underside of the base " E.W. to E.L."
In excellent order with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. There are a few areas of clouding to the silver, but no dents or splits.
Hallmarked to the underside of the base for London 1727 by Edward Vincent. The inner rim of the cover is stamped with the makers mark in four places.
Approximate weight is 1.214 kilos or 39 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 26.5 cm height, 23.5 cm handle to handle length and 14 cm depth.
