Georgian, George III, pair of stag crested silver sauce boats. Features gadrooned rims and acanthus capped scroll handles. Raised on three shell capped shell feet. The underside of each sauce boat features a contemporary monogram of W.H.
In very good condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents and creases. The gadrooned rims have had some strengthening repairs and these are visible in the photos. One sauce boat has some marking to the underside of the rims as shown in the last two photos. These are only visible when the sauce boat is turned upside down. Some clouding of the silver. No sign of any feet pushing through.
Each sauce boat is hallmarked to the underside for London 1766 by Sebastian & James Crespell.
Approximate weight for the pair is 662 grams or 21 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one are 21 cm length, 9 cm width and 11 cm height.
