First Half 20th Century Ceylonese Silver Betel Lime Box. Of curved oblong form with a hinged and domed cover. The underside with flat chased scrolling foliage and central geometric pattern. The cover deep chased with a central bird, scrolling foliage and a bead effect border. The sides deep chased with scrolling foliage and a very narrow gadroon style border.

In excellent condition with light surface wear. Free of any dents, creases and splits. The box is unmarked.

Approximate weight is 177 grams or 5.6 troy ounces.
