Early 20th Century Silver Plate on Copper Desk Box Inkstand. Of rectangular form with a gadrooned rim and raised on four bun feet. The interior with two inkwells, a central compartment and pen recess. Free of any inscriptions.
In very good condition, free of dents, creases and splits. The interior has some plate wear and stains from ink use. The glass has no apparent damage apart from some ink staining. One bottle mount is a looser fit than the other, but both would appear to be original and matching. Small areas of plate wear to the exterior corners. The cover does not close fully flush on the right side, as shown in the photos.
