A rare Asprey Late Victorian silver mounted aide memoire & card case. Features silver mounted corners to the front and rear, along with a silver clasp to the front. The case itself is in a soft olive green leather. The case opens to reveal a beige leather and green watermarked silk interior with compartments for cards and an ivorine sheet for notes. This can be wiped clean afterwards. There is a slot for a propelling pencil. The interior has the words ASPREY 166 NEW BOND ST LONDON in gilt lettering.
Overall condition is good. There is no damage to any of the silver. The leather case has wear and fraying to the corners. The interior has some staining to the beige leather and there is wear to the small section of green watermarked silk. The clasp is in working order.
Hallmarked to the clasp and mounts for London 1900/01 by Charles Asprey & George Asprey.
