A very rare anglo saxon small bronze and cloisonne enamel cloak brooch.
This brooch which dates to circa 10th to the early 11th century AD, is in wonderful original condition. It retains virtually all of its enamel ,in the form of a blue base with the remains of what is likely a white cross.
One small side lug is missing ,however a small amount of the original gilding is still present on the reverse.
The original iron fastening pin was lost in antiquity.
Norfolk excavations 1969.
Size 2.6 CM in Dia.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
