Description
An incredibly rare Ancient Egyptian wooden mummy mask with original paint pigment detail.
This fabulous piece which dates to circa 664 -30 BC , is in wonderful original condition.
Used to show the likeness of the owner in life...and usually as a younger person..
A truly special piece which are seldom seen outside of important collections.
The reverse shows a small pad to angle the face mask in the case which is easily removed , also some small traces of fabric, which held this piece on a display base in a bygone collection.
Complete with display case as shown.
Size 26.0 CM x 18.5 CM.
EX. Private collection formed between the 1960-1980s.
