A very good quality and very rare viking period openwork silvered bronze neck cross .
This item which dates to circa 9th -10th century AD, is in excellent allover condition.
With some small amount of ferrous deposits to the bottom of the cross as shown where it came into contact with iron in antiquity.
It has been restrung on a neck chord to allow it to be worn with modern day dress if so desired.
Size 4.8 CM in Length...
North Yorkshire excavations in the 1970s.
As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes complete with a display box together with a certificate of authenticity.
